I bought three of these and all works fine. the noise is low but clearly it's audible and some people may find it distracting or too disturbing to sleep through. I have no issues. it fills with 1/5 water every 3-4 days. I leave them always on in the bedrooms and the power draw is very low so they are cheap to run. these are not going to solve issues in a severely and constantly damp home but they will compliment a well managed property.
